FLOOD RELIEF / October 2011
The rainy season has been the worst in many years and the resulting floods has caused great hardships to the families living in the slums. Kate's Project has received great support from Regent's School, its students and parents in the form of food bags. Despite difficult conditions these bags have been distributed to the neediest. NEW WATER BARRELS/ September 2011
Due to some of the families being moved off the land so regularly we felt that it now made sense to provide Plastic water barrels which could transfer with the families. Previously concrete water tanks had to be abandoned as they could not be moved due to their weight and size.
FIELDS PREPARED/ July 2011. With the first crops in it is now time again to prepare the land again. MORE INFO & PICTURES
FOOD DROP / July 2011 Each month some of the families in greatest need receive a food parcel consisting of rice, noodles, oil and fish. This greatly appreciated aid is supported by the PILC (Pattaya International Ladies Club). VIEW PICTURES
June 2011 School Uniforms
Going to school in a crisp new uniform, the children from the slum areas are being given a chance to break the cycle of poverty.
The school uniforms are bought in April and May of each year and it is amazing to see how some of the children have grown in one year! Brilliant white shirts and khaki shorts, red skirts and blouses and special scouts day uniforms all add up to a very colourful event.
