KATES PROJECT TRUST PATTAYA THAILAND

Sponsors and Donors

Kate's Project relies solely on contributions received from donors and sponsors and without these the charity could not continue. Sponsors and donors range from large Foundations to contributions received from the general public.

All contributions have made a significant impact on the lives of the most vulnerable and forgotten of Pattaya's slums.

Over the last few years this has meant that the Project can now offer schooling to 150 children and also provide housing to those most in need. A new office now acts as a focal point for the families with many travelling daily to discuss day-to-day problems with Khun Noi, Thai co-ordinator of Kate's Project Trust.

Waterloo Foundation

The Waterloo Foundation is an independent grant-making Foundation in the UK, which give grants to organisations in both the UK and world-wide. VIEW FOUNDATION WEBSITE

Kate's Project was given a great boost when they assisted in the funding of schooling for 100 of the children in Pattaya's slums and also with the purchasing of the Centre of Hope Building.   The Waterloo Foundation is most interested in projects that help globally, particularly in the areas of the disparity of wealth and climate-related issues.

Like Kate's Project, the Foundation believes that educating people is key to ensuring a country’s long-term development, prosperity and independence

An educated population will help bring about a more vibrant civil society, as well as increase the numbers of people available to offer their skills, knowledge and expertise to support the development of their communities.
The Foundation’s two key aims are:

  • to increase access to education
  • to increase the quality of education

The Apostolic Work Society

Throughout the many parishes in Northern Ireland, people support the work of missionaries, both priests and lay people in the work that they do in developing countries.

When people donate cash, or other articles, these are converted into a means of helping vulnerable people in the developing world. This help can take many forms; setting up pipelines for clean water, growing crops to sell at local markets, health and education programmes, employment advice and business start-up packages.

The Apostolic Work Society has provided Kate's Project funding to help the education programme continue and also support those families with the greatest need who live in the slums.
